Have some people purchased their nail tech license ?
Wow... am I really saying that... yes. Take note... I'm not going to name names.... I'm not going to slander anyone.... everything that I have to say on the subject is legal heresay. In other words, I have not watched money change hands... but I'm also no dummy.
In the past, I used to tutor some
immigrants... prepare them for their written exams. So it all began to
dawn on me when I took notice of what occurred with one student. She was
not good... she was a terrible student. I certainly expected her at best,
to just get thur the written exam by the skin of her teeth.
Low and behold, she damn near aced the exam... score of 98. Boy was I
puzzled over that one. I knew that something smelled fishy.
Then on another exam day, I witnessed an immigrant wanta be nail tech come tearing outa the exam room. She was in tears. She had only been in the exam room perhaps 15 minutes. What in the world was going on with her.... so I asked her. Oh she told me, my brother messed up and didn't pay the money and so they didn't give me the exam that I memorized.
Now over time I have heard stories of
how people will in some improper way, obtain a nail tech license from one
state.... and then 'trade it in' for a good valid license in another state....
but what I was seeing here was much more direct than that.
Here is the story as told to me by immigrants.
The state board has 12 or 15 different 100 multiple choice questions tests.... so you can't cheat by memorizing... after all who can memorize and keep straight 1200 to 1500 questions. If you are that good then you don't even need to cheat.
But... ya pay your $2,500 to the right contact and tell them the last 4 digits of the social security number of the person who will be taking the written exam. And they hand over to you say version #7 of the written exam. You memorize the answers....1-a 2-c 3-d 4-a 5-c .... and so on.
You arrive the morning of the exam and when your identification is presented to enter the exam room... there is your social security number.... you are handed the version #7 of the written exam.... the one that you have memorized.
Well that is all I have to say on the subject. You choose for yourself what you think. I know the people who studied for the exams... took the exams... I know their scores... I know what I believe.
I have no wish to have any persons attack me for writing this commentary.... so I'm not accusing any fic individual nor any organization of wrong-doing... I'm just talking about some stuff that I observed.
